I build and advance complex ventures where capital allocation, cross-border execution and operating judgment matter.

Over more than two decades, I have worked across natural resources, technology, real estate, infrastructure and public markets. My experience encompasses asset origination, greenfield and brownfield development, capital and partnership structuring, public-company leadership and direct operating responsibility.

I'm grateful for the range, because insight is personal: it's how you come to see the world. Mine came from contrast. Once you know what institutional grade looks like in one market, its absence in another is impossible to unsee.

I founded a mineral-exploration company and took it from private inception to the TSX Venture Exchange — building the technical and executive teams, raising capital, negotiating a joint venture with Acacia Mining, then a Barrick Gold subsidiary, and running it through the global financial crisis, a commodities downturn and two Egyptian revolutions. We defined the concession's first NI 43-101 resource at roughly $15 per ounce discovery cost; rare by industry standards. The deposit we found and drilled out is now scheduled to become Egypt's next gold mine.

Through Forvânt, I worked on client-led assignments across real estate and destination development, power and digital infrastructure, renewable energy, and emerging technology. These were advisory and strategic-development engagements at differing stages—not a claim that every proposed project was built, financed or deployed. The variety sharpened my ability to enter unfamiliar sectors, identify binding constraints and decide what deserves further commitment.

My approach is direct: examine the underlying data, visit assets where appropriate, work with the people responsible for execution and revisit assumptions as evidence changes. I hold an M.A. in Economics/Finance from Simon Fraser University.

I am now moving to a new, principal-led endeavour. I am not taking on further consulting mandates. Forvânt remains part of my professional history; this site records the work and thinking that brought me to this point.
